If you know the card game Top Trumps, this is similar.
You have a stack of 27 cards with different animals and four categories that are part of the play.
These are:

• Price: how much the animal or its parts are trafficked for on the black market.


• Risk of extinction in the wild: 0 being of least concern, and 10 being endangered


• Easy to buy: how easy it is to buy this animal on the black market (0 being hardest, 10 being easiest).


• Easy to keep: how easy it is to look after this animal as a pet (0 being hardest, 10 being easiest). If the animal is dead, this is also 0, as it requires no care.

• The pack is split into two. Player 1 has 14 cards, and Player 2 has 13 cards.


• The players must not reveal their cards to each other.


• The players must stack the cards in a pile face down in their hands, and play one card (the top card) at a time.


• Player 2, who has 13 cards, begins.


• Player 2 chooses one of the four categories on their card, such as "Price," and says it out loud. Player 1 must then read out the value of the same category on their card. Whoever's number is higher wins the round. If Player 2's number is higher, they take Player 1's card and place both cards at the bottom of their stack.


• The winner of the round continues the game and chooses the category for the next card.


• For the categories "Risk of extinction in the wild," "Easy to keep," and "Easy to buy," the higher number wins.


• If Player 1 wins a round, Player 1 takes the two cards and chooses the category for the next round.


• If the numbers are the same, the players keep their own cards by placing them at the bottom of their stacks.


• The players continue the game until one person holds all the cards.


• They are the winner.
